As managers of Chino Hills Self Storage, we like to support our other local businesses in our community, especially those that offer further education to the youth of today. We are privileged to have Code Ninja's as an extracurricular school that teaches kids to code while building their own video games. It’s fun, educational, and a very practical activity that will serve kids well in the long run.
Coding: The Brainy Sport
Sports are great. They teach teamwork, leadership skills, self-motivation, and more. But, let's be honest, very few kids grow up to make a living directly from sports. Coding, on the other hand, is a skill that is becoming ever more important in our digital age.
Coding jobs are already in demand today. So just imagine how much more in demand they're going to be when our young generation joins the workforce. The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) projects that computer and information technology employment will grow 13% between 2020 and 2030, which is 5% faster than the average projected growth rate across all occupations.

- Database Administrator and many more!
Whether or not your kids grow up to be professional coders, they still gain a lot from the experience. They gain problem solving, critical thinking, and STEM skills in a fun, safe, and inspiring environment.
Code Ninjas - Chino Hills
Code Ninjas® is the world's largest and fastest-growing kids coding franchise, with hundreds of locations in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. So, we're lucky to have one here in Chino Hills.
Code Ninjas Chino Hills is located just about a mile away from our storage facility. It's just off 71 and Chino Hills Parkway, in the same shopping center as Lucille’s Bar-B-Que and Hobby Lobby. It's very convenient to get to from anywhere in the area.
We were lucky to notice the local location before it even opened in 2019. Our grandson was one of the first students to join when he was 7 years old and he is still a code ninja today. He's still busy creating fun games and earning his coding belts.
Flexible Programs and Hours
Code Ninjas makes it really easy for parents with convenient drop-in hours on weeknights and weekends. There's a range of times you can drop in, and it doesn't have to be the same day or same time every week.
They also offer several great programs for different ages.
At-Home Coding
Code Ninjas Chino Hills opened shortly before the pandemic hit. We were so impressed with how quickly they adapted to at-home coding, which they transitioned too almost immediately. (They put their own tech schools to great use!)
The school location is open again, which is great, but they continue to offer at-home coding. The same, amazing Code Senseis® teach the online classes and are only a click away.
Code Ninjas Create (Ages 7 to 14)
Kids develop their video game and ninja coding skills in this program. They start with a white belt and work their way up to a black belt by accomplishing various challenges. It's a lot of fun when they reach the next stage and have a little board-breaking ceremony to receive their new colored “belt.”
Code Ninjas Jr (Ages 5 to 7)
Even if your kid can't read yet, they’re not too young to learn to code. That's right, kids these days can code before they read!
This program makes it possible through a fun and completely visual curriculum. It's builds an excellent foundation for Code Ninjas Create.
Code Ninjas Camps (Summer & Year-Round)
In lieu of or in addition to their regular programs, Code Ninjas Chino Hills offers a wide range of fun camps for different interests and ages.
From coding and game building to STEM and robotics, the camps are a great way to develop new skills, gain confidence, and have fun with fellow code ninjas.
Parents Night Out
And, guess what?! They extend the fun to parents as well by offering a regular “Parents Night Out Game Night.” You can drop off your kids at Code Ninjas on certain Friday nights so they can play games while you enjoy a night out yourself.
