‘Twas the night before December 22nd when all through the shops the employees were scurrying to be top notch, the shopping bags were hung by the gifts with care, for all knew that St. Nicholas would soon be there. The shoppers were nestled all snug in their beds while visions of the stores danced in their heads, perfumes, hats, winter gloves and more, they could not wait to dash away, dash away to the stores……
Shopping, Dining, and Entertainment at the Shoppes
Every year The Shoppes at Chino Hills transform into a winter wonderland. It opens with the lighting of the massive tree while snow flurries magically appear as the carolers sing songs of holiday cheer. The children wait anxiously for Santa to arrive in hopes of finding out whether they were naughty or nice.
It's the time of the year where the community gathers, to eat, drink, shop and simply be merry. To the backdrop of holiday music, the shoppers are in a festive mood, buying and smiling and repeating a happy holiday to you too.
There is always a flurry of events, entertainment on the live stage, crafts for the children, the holiday train tooting its horn filled with children glowing with excitement and joy.
So many stores filled with gift ideas for all. Old Navy with their famous matching PJ’s, Sephora filled with beauty gift boxes, Barnes and Noble with books and nooks filled with unique gift ideas. Bath and Body filled with scents and colors of the holiday season. Miniso filled with trinkets, collectables and more. And of course we can’t forget Jared, the gallery of glittery jewelry for that special loved one.
In between the shopping there are always the yummy eateries. You can choose to have a sit-down meal at Wood Ranch or maybe grab a quick pretzel with a lemonade, or a candy apple or chocolate at the Rocky Mountain candy store. Or maybe you just need a shoppers pick me up coffee from 7 leaves. The air is filled with the best kind of smells, so it may be difficult to know exactly what your senses are craving, just do what we do from Chino Hills Self Storage, we try a little of this and a little of that and we always leave a bit plumper and a whole lot jollier.
We at Chino Hills Self Storage enjoy this time of the year at the Shoppes, our staff loves to attend the Heritage Farmers Market during the holiday season, along with the shops there are many popup vendors that sell various wares. From homemade desserts to wines and unique gifts, and as always, the fresh berries and fruit that one expects to find at a Farmers Market. If you can’t find that perfect gift within the shoppes, then you will surely find one among the popups.
We are an active group from Chino Hills Self Storage; we like to be where the action is and we like to move among it, but maybe you just want to go and relax and just take in the atmosphere. There are many great spots at the Shoppes to do so. You might find a perfect cushioned couch or bench near the holiday tree, or by Santa’s house, maybe a romantic bistro table near the Barnes and Noble, no matter where it is you will have a perfect view of the festive activities going on. I like to keep my ears open so I can hear the holiday music and the soft voices of the happy people passing by while I’m sipping on hot chocolate with whipped cream and topped with red and green sprinkles. Ahh, it’s so wonderful taking a holiday relax during the hustle and the bustle.
Embracing the Season with Style and Comfort
The shopping is great, the food is yummy, the atmosphere is festive, but one more ingredient that simply says the Holidays are here and that’s the comfy and cozy attire. During the season at the shoppes you will see shoppers wearing matching pj’s, most likely from Old Navy, you will see owners and their pets wearing matching sweaters, homemade scarves and hats of various kinds, fuzzy boots and even slippers adorn the shoppers’ feet. It’s the time of the year that attire mimics the holiday spirit and no matter if it’s still California warm weather the holiday attire is an absolute must.
The season comes and goes quite fast, if you missed the festivities this year at the Shoppes in Chino Hills, no worries, it arrives every year around the 22nd of December. Oh, and before I forget, if you need storage to hide your perfect gifts next year, we at Chino Hills Self Storage would love to be your Elves.
Our community and staff had a beautiful evening at the opening of the 2024 holiday season in Chino Hills and as I was leaving, I could have sworn I heard a voice shouting, “Happy Holidays to all, and to all a good night”.
