A Heritage of Award Winning Flavor
Little do most know that Ontario and Cucamonga Valley once were the largest wine grape growing region in California. For the Riboli family, it started over a100 years ago now an Historic Landmark, San Antonio Winery since 1917 have had numerous awards for their selections of wines, San Simeon; Maddalena; Opaque; and my favorite the Stella Rosa. That is just a few, they also have more than 18 different brands with estate vineyards in Paso Robles, Monterey, and Napa Valley.
On occasion our staff at Chino Hills Self Storage will plan a day or an evening trip for some wine tasting and relaxation at the winery, it’s known in the Inland empire as a premier destination for wine enthusiasts. Not only do they house their award-winning wines they also offer a large selection of wines from around the world, if you don’t prefer wine, they also offer spirits and craft beers, so they can satisfy anybody’s palate.
Along with their wines they also have an amazing gift shop within the winery so along with wine tasting you can also browse through the unique gift items, from houseware to linens and special foods. Our staff at Chino Hills Self Storage, especially like the gift shop during the holidays, it’s a great place to shop for wine and a gift for that special someone.
The Perfect Escape
The winery is housed in a beautiful Italian style building, and the interior is so inviting. It’s a perfect setting for anyone who just needs to get away from the Hussle and bustle of life. They have a beautiful wine bar, and the staff are always engaging and have always been able to help our staff members to make the right choice, they also offer wine slushies for those who want something more fun, the slushies are often my go to.
After your wine tasting is complete, you can choose your favorite glass and compliment it with an antipasti platter of cured meats and artisan cheeses or maybe savory nuts as you enjoy your time in the Heritage Event Room, you will want to note that if you have 6 or more in your group you will need to make reservations.
Not only is there the Heritage Event Room that can comfortably seat up to 50 guests, but they also have the Country Patio, this area can fit up to 150 guests, and they have different catering options in both spaces for your private event. Both rooms are beautiful choices for any kind of special event. There are just 3 of us from our staff at Chino Hills Self we always choose between the two depending on the weather, we enjoy both spaces equally.
San Antonio Winery is also great for take-out, if you are planning a special gathering or a party or just a quiet evening with yourself or significant other the you can also choose to take your selection of wines, spirits or craft beers as well as a great selection of Hor d’oeuvre like delicacy’s that you can choose from there cold storage. Heads up, it’s hard to decide because there are so many tasty items to choose from.
Beyond the Tasting Room
Along with wine tasting, the winery also hosts a variety of food and wine events, they always have an event calendar at the tasting bar. An example of some of the events are Trivia night; Murder Mystery dinners; Dueling pianos; Comedy Night; Paint and Sip hmm lol I wonder how those art pieces look after sipping on a few glasses of wine? But doesn’t it sound fun???
If you do not live close enough to the San Antonio Winery in Ontario California, they have other locations that may work for you. They have a location in Los Angeles as well as a location in Paso Robles that also offers a bistro. And, the Riboli family have a winemaking facility in Paso Robles as well. But, no worries, if you live far and are simply not able to visit any of their locations you can also visit them online, they also offer club wines for those who would like to become members.
