Chino Self Storage Manager Interview (Chino, California)

|

Here at Chino Self Storage, we truly care and appreciate our community. Our parent company, Smart Self Storage, has around the Chino Valley Area for almost 15 years. We interviewed our manager at our brand new self storage facility, Mary, and she has actually been with the company for 11 years. She was a manager at our sister facility, Chino Hills Self Storage, and now manages our brand new Chino Self Storage. In this blog we will be talking about Mary’s experience working for Smart Self Storage in the Greater Chino Valley Area. Today's blog also features our brand new Chino Self Storage facility.

Q: How do you like working at Smart Self Storage?

A: I love working for Smart Self Storage because the company is very family-oriented. They have supported my growth in the company and have allowed me to shine.

Q: What makes us unique?

A: This company is unique in the way that they let you feel at home in your workspace.

Q: What do you like best about our new facility?

A: I love the new facility and the challenge of working to bring it to its full potential it is exciting and new. The excitement of leasing up the property is a goal I look forward to complete within this year.

Q: How long have you lived in this area?

A: I have lived in Chino for 56 years. I was the 1st kid out of 9 to be born at the house where my parents still live. I have seen the growth of Chino and Chino Hills; it has been amazing to see the small city where no one knew where Chino was to a landmark that everyone knows about. I have seen the dairies and the farming flourish in this area to the warehouses and all the new homes that now cover the area. There are still areas where you can still see some cows and fields of corn growing.

Q: Favorite restaurant?

A: I have so many favorite places to go to but one that I know has now become a favorite of our team is Los Portales Mexican Grill, with authentic Mexican food and the best chips and salsa. They are in Chino off Central Ave. and Walnut Ave.

Q: Favorite park?

A: My favorite park is Ayala Park in Chino off of Central Ave. and Edison. This park has something for everybody, they have baseball fields and tournaments, Soccer Fields and tournaments, a skate park, multiple play grounds for children, Putting grounds, YMCA, a walking trail around the whole park and a yearly 4th of July extravaganza with a fireworks show, picnicking for the whole family and plenty of food vendors.

Q: Favorite place to go in Chino?

A: My favorite place to go is to my childhood neighborhood. I love going to my old neighborhood and visiting with family and friends.

Q: Do you feel like Chino Self Storage and Chino Hills Self Storage are part of the community?

A: I do feel we are part of the community because people look to us for help and service with their storage needs and a lot of times the people you meet when you rent storage end up becoming friends and family of our storage facilities.

Q: Do like talking to customers about the Chino Valley Community?

A: I love talking about the Chino Valley Community. If they ask where something is I can usually direct them from anywhere in the valley. I also like to talk about the history that I know of Chino and the farms and dairies that used to be here. I love talking to people and getting to know them, their background, and their needs.
