Recently, I had the pleasure of staying at the Sheraton Ontario Airport Hotel for a business trip, as part of our Chino Self Storage team meeting. My second time staying at this hotel, I'm thrilled to share my hotel review, as a business traveler, in today's blog post.
Location: Right Near Ontario International Airport
As someone who likes to fly in and out of Ontario Airport (ONT), I find the Sheraton Ontario Airport Hotel extremely convenient. It's quite close to the airport, only about a 5-minute drive away. While there are many convenient hotels near ONT, I find Sheraton to be at the top of the list.
As someone very loyal to the Marriott Bonvoy program (who doesn't like earning points with each stay?), I'm always looking for the best Marriott hotels wherever I travel, and Sheraton Ontario Airport Hotel is at the top of my list for ONT business travelers. And, while it's a great selection for Bonvoy program members, it's also a great hotel for “free agents”.
Lounge & Food: Ensuring Guests Have A Convenient Meal
Each time I have visited this hotel, I have been impressed with their lounge for Bonvoy Platinum members and above (and/or those who book a club level room). The lounge is well-managed, with an abundance of seating. And, it has some great views! I especially enjoy their pasta dish. In fact, after arriving at ONT on a late flight, I was delighted to grab a quick pasta dinner at Sheraton's club level lounge. I find the staff who work in the lounge to be pleasant and welcoming. Clearly, they care about their guests.
Additionally, I would like to mention that there is now a Chick-fil-A location adjacent to this hotel. The Chick-fil-A does not seem to offer indoor seating at this time, but they do offer a drive-thru and order window (with outdoor seating). As someone short on extra time, I grabbed a meal at Chick-fil-A and enjoyed eating outside, as the weather was fabulous. And, as a huge bonus, I could walk! (It's important to get some steps outside after traveling and working all day.)
Free Shuttle: True Convenience (and Cost Savings)
In my life, I am always looking for ways to save time. I'm always looking to optimize for convenience. (As a side note, that's what we are all about at Chino Self Storage, as well. We understand just how busy our customers are, and we are mindful to save our customers time in any way possible.) I really appreciate that Sheraton Ontario Airport Hotel offers a free shuttle for guests. All you need to do is call the hotel's front desk and let them know you would like the shuttle to pick you up. I appreciate the convenience of their shuttle, and also the cost savings (it's free). (I do suggest tipping the driver, as it's a nice gesture.)
Room: Perfect For Me
I found my room to be quite nice, clean, and comfortable. While I didn't spend too much time in the room, I did truly appreciate the comfortable bed, in-room safe, comfortable desk (as I'm always working on my computer), and all the modern amenities you would expect. I also enjoyed the nice views from my room.
Overall Hotel Grounds: Very Clean and Well-Maintained
As someone who works in real estate, I pay close attention to the details. I'm huge on property maintenance. It is clear with Sheraton Ontario Airport Hotel that management cares about the grounds. Both times I have visited, I noticed landscapers hard at work keeping the property beautiful. Both times I have visited, I noticed that the hotel was well managed and sparkling clean. This last trip, I took a few minutes to visit the pool area, which was also a sight to see. Overall, I commend the management team for their hard work maintaining this hotel.
Closing Thoughts: The Right Balance For My Business Travel Checklist
As a frequent business traveler, I have enjoyed staying at a multitude of hotels. I enjoy a good mix of value, customer service, quality, and convenience (especially convenience). I believe Sheraton Ontario Airport Hotel strikes a great balance by taking all of these factors into account. While it's not the cheapest Ontario Airport hotel, I believe you get what you pay for. This hotel is worth the (slight) premium, in my opinion, for the convenience, quality, extras, and overall experience. And, I cannot put a price on a good night’s sleep when I work such long hours. I want to thank the entire staff at the Sheraton for their hospitality.
