We interviewed our manager at Green Valley Road Self Storage, Cynthia, who has been with us for 2 years. In this blog, we will be talking about Cynthia's experience working for Smart Self Storage in the El Dorado Hills Area.
Q: What do you like about working at Green Valley Road Self Storage?
A: The best thing about working at Green Valley Road Self Storage is hands down, my tenants. The people of El Dorado Hills and Folsom have been so kind and welcoming since I've come here. You can tell they take great pride in this area and it has made me want to do the same for them, especially when it comes to giving the most topnotch storage experience I can. El Dorado Hills is growing rapidly and we have a wide variety of sizes to help these great people between major life changes, moves, and/or business needs. We also provide that extra space for the very active lifestyles of this community. Several tenants store their kayaks, snowboards and mountain bikes here as well.
Q: How long have you lived in this area?
A: I have lived in El Dorado Hills for two years now and have absolutely fallen in love. It is such a beautiful place to live and work. I feel very fortunate. Our facility is tucked up on a hill surrounded by trees, in a quiet and safe feeling neighborhood.
Q: What is your favorite park?
A: Green Valley Road Self Storage is located directly across the street from Brown's Ravine/ Folsom Marina. I like to walk down there and hike the trails with my dog, and take in the fresh air and views. It's also a great place to paddle board and mountain bike. Hence, why we have so many people storing their recreational toys here with us. We also have a neat trailhead that starts right at the end of our driveway that takes you through the trees and over some pretty creeks.
Q: What is your favorite restaurant?
A: El Dorado Hills has so many amazing choices, but lately I've been enjoying taking my guests to Friends with Benedicts. The menu is huge and diverse so there is truly something for everyone. Try the Chilaquiles with carne asada. Delicious. I really enjoy El Dorado Saloon and The Purple Place as well. Both have live music most weekends if you enjoy dancing. Mraz Brewery is a great stop for a cold craft beer before you catch dinner and listen to some fun cover bands or take some cans to go before you head over to the lake for a picnic. It's great that all three of these restaurants are located within a mile of Green Valley Road Self Storage.
Q: What is your favorite place in El Dorado Hills?
A: Town Center is a beautiful strip where you can find fabulous restaurants, live music most weekends, Sunday farmers markets and an IMAX movie theatre. The last time I was there, Milestone Restaurant had live music on their patio. I had dinner at C. Knights Steakhouse and caught the latest “Fast and the Furious” movie. It was a fun evening. There is also a Nugget Market there with the most amazing artisan cheese counter as well as some of the best deli sandwiches I've ever had. Some of these businesses actually store here with us and it was nice seeing some of our tenants outside of the storage facility.
Q: What is something you're proud of regarding Green Valley Road Self Storage?
A: I'm proud of many things. One being our fantastic customer service. We understand that there could be many stressful reasons for your move and want to make it as pleasant and easy as possible while also assuring you get the best size and value for your needs. We always hear that customers feel great about Green Valley Road Self Storage. We provide storage to many of our local businesses and organizations and it makes me happy that they trust our site to hold their treasures. Our facility has a fully fenced perimeter, coded gate access, individual door alarms, 24-hour video surveillance and management living on-site.
Q: What does Green Valley Road Self Storage offer that other self storages might not?
A: One of my favorite things we offer here at Green Valley Road Self Storage is that we lock in our tenants rent rates for a year. We are also consistently complimented on how clean the facility is often. We take great pride in keeping the property nice and it shows.
