Dodgers Parade 2025: LA Celebrates Back-to-Back Glory

|

This past Monday, downtown Los Angeles turned into a sea of Dodger blue. Fans filled every corner of the streets, waving flags, chanting, and celebrating like never before. The city came alive for the 2025 Dodgers Championship Parade, honoring our boys in blue for doing what only legends do, winning back-to-back World Series titles.

This team didn't just win again. They made history. The Dodgers are the first team since the early 2000s Yankees to go back-to-back, and this year's celebration made it clear that LA baseball is on top of the world.

Back-to-Back Wins and a Record-Breaking Series

The 2025 season felt different from the start. The Dodgers weren't just defending champions, they were a team on a mission. Every game, every inning, felt like they were writing their own chapter in baseball history.

And they did just that. The 2025 World Series became the most-watched in modern MLB history, and the final game, “Game 7” was the kind of classic that fans will talk about for decades.

Ohtani, Freeman, and 18 Innings of Pure Chaos

This World Series had everything. Shohei Ohtani gave us one of the most jaw-dropping performances earlier in the series,  10 strikeouts and 3 home runs in the same game. Absolute legend stuff. Then Freddie Freeman came in clutch, ending that insane 18-inning marathon that had every Dodger fan holding their breath.

And then came Game 7, the one that stopped all of LA in its tracks. It was Halloween weekend, but my diehard Dodger-fan boyfriend refused to leave for any party until the game was over. No costumes, no candy, just nine (and then extra) innings of pure chaos and nerves. Will Smith and Miguel Rojas came through when it mattered most, tying the game and setting up the rally that sealed it all. My friends, family, and I were texting like crazy, “Did you SEE that?!” “No way they just tied it!” “I can't breathe!”

When that final out happened, it felt like the entire city exhaled at once. The Dodgers had done it again, back-to-back champs. The kind of night that makes you proud to be from LA, where baseball isn't just a game, it’s part of who we are.

The Parade: LA Pride at Its Loudest

Monday's parade was one for the history books. The city came out even stronger than last year. Fans flooded the streets, decked out in Dodger blue and waving homemade signs like “Back-to-Back Champs” and “In Ohtani We Trust.”

But this year's celebration hit differently. Last year was about joy and relief, finally winning it all. This year was about proving it wasn't a fluke. LA showed up not just to celebrate a win, but to honor a team that has built a real legacy.

The chants, the cheers, the confetti, it all felt bigger, louder, prouder. This city has baseball running through its veins, and the pride was impossible to miss.

Yamamoto, Will Smith, and the Team That Made History

Among the highlights of the parade was seeing Yoshinobu Yamamoto, one of the biggest heroes of this World Series run. He played a massive role in key games and was soaking in every moment of the celebration. Fans went wild seeing him smile and wave, the pride was mutual.

And let's not forget Will Smith, who quietly made history of his own. Catching 73 innings during the World Series, Smith broke the MLB record for the most innings caught by a single catcher in one series. His grit and leadership behind the plate were a cornerstone of the team’s success.

Looking Ahead: Can We Make It Three?

As the parade floats rolled down the streets and players held up the trophy for the roaring crowd, one thought was on everyone's mind: Can they do it again?

A three-peat would be the stuff of baseball dreams, and with this roster, Ohtani, Freeman, Yamamoto, Smith, and Betts, it doesn’t feel impossible.

For now, though, LA is just soaking in the glory. The team that brought us joy, stress, and unforgettable moments has once again made history. From the nervous texts during Game 7 to the pure joy of the parade, this run has united the city like nothing else.
