Welcome to downtown Los Angeles! More and more, the neighborhood has grown with new shops or places to eat. The local community is flourishing with cool places to hang out and explore. Today we had the wonderful opportunity to visit an open air shopping mall located on Figueroa and 7th St. Here, it is known as FIGat7th. The shopping center can be found between two skyscrapers with a variety of shops. Read on to learn why this mall is full of shoppers year round, and why it's a go to spot for a quick lunch.
Food Court
In case you didn't know, FIGat7th is a very popular dining spot as well. Very delicious dining spots include: Starbucks, California Pizza Kitchen, Georges Greek Grill, Mendocino Farms, Morton’s the Steakhouse, Sprinkles Cupcakes, etc.
If that's not enough, located inside the mall is the Taste Food Hall, filled with even more places to grab a quick bite or two. The place is open, and filled with the scent of burgers, pizza, and salads. Seating is quite plentiful with room for all your friends and family. Hand sanitizer dispensers can be found throughout and masks are required for entry. Taste food hall has the following lunch options: Coco fresh Tea & Juice, Five Guys, New Moon Café, Ocho Mexican Grill, Oleego by Parks BBQ, Pizza Studio, Salata, The melt, Twist & Grill, etc.
Pizza Studio
On this visit, we ventured into the food court to see what all the fuss was about, and it did not disappoint. Having options is nice, especially when you don’t have to walk too far if you're craving something a little different.
Pizza Studio was our choice for today! At first glance the lines were non-existent, and the wait time was minimal. We arrived right before the lunch rush. Regarding pizza crust options, they only have thin crust available, but do have multiple sauces. Veggies available are standard, mushroom, olives, tomatoes, spinach, cilantro, etc. Once the pizza was topped with veggies then came the meats. You can add bacon, chicken, beef, pepperoni, and more. Once it's all set the friendly staff place your individual pizza on a conveyor belt oven. You can see as it is taken to crispy perfection. The baking takes about 15-30 minutes, as you wait for your pizza you can eye the Five guys across from you and get more hungry.
The pizza is a great deal! About 10 dollars plus tax and you can top it off with as many toppings as you would like. If you do go overboard with the toppings they charge a small fee. If you just want a pre-made pizza, simply order directly from their menu.

The fun part of these pizzas is that they are small yet mighty. Full of flavor and toppings that don’t disappoint. The individual portions make them really convenient.
Shops
If you're not in the mood to eat, or simply just need to get some shopping done after work. You can find a multitude of shops for all your needs, such as: Target, Zara, T-Mobile, Sephora, Sunglass Hut, etc.
