Cava is a casual Mediterranean restaurant that offers customizable bowls and salads that are both very flavorful and healthy. You start with a base of greens, grains, rice, or pita and then add to your bowl from the wide range of tasty and nutritious toppings they offer. They have a wide variety of proteins such as grilled chicken, braised lamb, or harissa honey chicken. Falafel roasted white sweet potatoes or roasted vegetables are great protein-packed choices for anyone who prefers a vegetarian option. Top off your plate with some of their delicious spreads and sauces that they make fresh in house and free of additives and preservatives. These have become so popular that Cava sells them in health food markets such as Whole Foods. Their roasted eggplant dip and roasted garlic hummus are immensely popular.
Cava Will Make It Just The Way You Like It
If you do not wish to customize your plate, you can choose from several Chef-curated bowls that offer pre-selected bold flavor combinations. The Tahini Caesar and Lentil Avocado are new dishes from this menu. Cava offers several vegetarian and vegan options. The bowls come with fresh pita bread on the side. You can pair your bowl with one of their fresh juices or teas with seasonal flavors prepared by the employees at Cava.
Their Story
It all started with three friends who grew up in Greek families and enjoyed getting together around food. One of the friends became a chef and that is where the story about Cava Restaurant began. Their belief is that we should not have to choose healthy over satisfying and one should not have to choose substance over flavor. At Cava, they work hard to make sure that promise stands. In 2007, Cava started a single restaurant in Rockville, Maryland. Today, there is over 80 chef-casual restaurants located in Southern California, Texas, and the East Coast.
Giving Back to the Community
Cava has collaborated with multiple nonprofit organizations to help their local community to emphasize on healthy eating and urban gardening skills. These nonprofits include City Blossoms, Future Chefs, Garden School Foundation, Grow To Learn, Kid Healthy and more. Their ultimate goal is to empower kids and teens about gardening, sustainability, and most importantly, healthy eating. Cava is also collaborating with nonprofit organizations that are committed to ending hunger in their communities.

A busy day of moving and storage can work up quite an appetite for many of our customers, and being close to great restaurants offers them a convenient and time-saving way to take a break and enjoy some delicious food. Cava is located at 345 South Lake Avenue, about a 5-minute drive from Arroyo Parkway Self Storage taking Del Mar Boulevard. There is street parking, or you may park in the large parking structure in the back. Cava is in close proximity to popular local businesses such as Trader Joe's, Macys, and the Coffee Bean.
