If you’re searching for a small-animal veterinary hospital in your area, your search can end here. Penryn Pet Hospital is a small-animal veterinary hospital brilliantly sharing the same building as Roanie’s Coffee and Café. The location was created as part of the pet-hospital concept so clients have a comfortable place to wait, relax, and enjoy coffee while visiting for veterinary care. This is such a brilliant idea that it makes you wonder why other services don’t use this model. But location alone doesn’t make a great veterinary clinic. Read on to learn what makes Penryn Pet Hospital so wonderful.
Owned and Operated by Wonderful Veterinarians
Launched in 2025, Penryn Pet Hospital is locally owned and operated by a dedicated group of local veterinarians. It’s the small animal extension of a long-standing Loomis Basin Equine practice. This isn’t a corporate-owned, stop-in clinic. Penryn Pet Hospital is the place to go for those of us who want excellent preventative, routine care with a special emphasis on the more emotionally intense situations that come with chronic illness, pain and recovery. When you walk in the front door, you’ll feel this commitment. The waiting area, which is connected to both a café and a solarium-style sitting area, is spacious and friendly. Honestly, it doesn’t feel clinical and sterile. It feels supportive and warm. I feel it’s a place that realizes that excellent medical care for our beloved pets also includes a calming experience for the humans who bring them in.
A Pet Rehabilitation Specialist: In addition to the setting, one of the most distinctive things about Penryn Pet Hospital is its pet rehabilitation program. The clinic has brand-new, comprehensive rehabilitation services including underwater treadmill therapy, acupuncture, Class IV laser therapy, shockwave treatment, electrical stimulation/TENS and manual therapy PLUS therapeutic exercise. Knowledgeable rehabilitation is an important part of our pets’ treatment protocol. It’s useful for pets recovering from orthopedic surgery, amputation, soft-tissue injuries, arthritis and other mobility problems. The goal is restoring function, improving range of motion, increasing strength and endurance, supporting weight loss/conditioning and reducing pain. All of these things are done to improve our sweet pet’s quality of life.
