If you want to find something INCREDIBLE but don’t want to go too far, you don't have to because right on McHenry Avenue out in Modesto is one of the city's best consignment thrift stores. In between a used car dealership and a quinceanera dress shop, is a not so hidden gem called Incredible Finds.
I say not so hidden because it’s facing one of the busiest streets in Modesto, but surprisingly not a lot of people that I've talked to know about it. If you’ve never heard of Incredible Finds, this is their second location after they moved from their first location on Kearney. Their original shop opened back in 2018 but moved to their Mechenry spot later the following year.
Something for Everyone
With over 4500 square feet and 50 different vendors, Incredible Finds has a little bit of everything! Their selection of inventory ranges from vintage clothes to skateboards to VHS/DVDs to videogames to toys to crafts and much much more.
It’s taken a few years to gain traction but they recent won “Best Consignment Shop” by the BusinessRate (Best of 2025) which rates all businesses here in the 209. This is a huge achievement for the store and has helped them broaden their customer range.
Like I said earlier, with over 50 different vendors there is a constant new inventory and restocks throughout the six days they’re open Monday through Saturday. They also run a good amount of discounts and sales throughout the year which you can find on their Instagram: @incredible_finds209.
For Halloween day and November 1st, they had a storewide sale with discounts ranging from 20% to 50% off. I was able to find my daughter a Halloween Minnie Mouse plushie (with original tag of $25) for only $3! I remember seeing these at Disneyland during our last trip and thinking, I can’t spend this much on a plushie that she’ll like for only a few days and then get bored of it, but at almost 1/8th of the price, YES I’ll get that!
Incredible Finds at Competitive Prices
There are a few vendors with higher prices that might not seem as much as a deal, if you don’t know how much they go online. For example there are a few higher priced VHS’ that seem pricey but compared to Ebay or even Marketplace, they’re priced well. If you’re a reseller, it might be a little difficult to make money off those items but there’s still a lot of other pieces that could be easy money makers.
No matter if you’re a reseller or a collector, Incredible Finds will have what you’ve been looking for. It might even have something you weren’t looking for, at an incredible price!
