We couldn't be happier to be a part of the neighborhood and want to share with you all how our new expansion is going. Today's blog is an interview with on-site Manager, Misty, about her experience with the new expansion being open.
Q: How is the new expansion doing?
A: The new expansion is doing really really well. Raquel and I are still trying to get used to the new layout as well as trying to remember the new unit sizes and which building they are located in. All the customers have talked about how nice the new expansion looks, and how comfortable they feel while they are in the facility!
Q: How are the customers reacting to it?
A: Customers have all liked the expansion. I would say that the #1 thing that is being noticed are the warehouse units. These units are 15 ft. high and can reach up to 20 ft. compared to the standard 8 ft. high storage units. The size stands out, especially since we are the only facility in West Sacramento that have that size unit.
Q: Has it brought more business to WSSS?
A: We are definitely getting more business! Plus, it is nice to have units for our customers again. For the last couple months, we have been at nearly full capacity and have had to put customers on a long waiting list. So being able to get customers into a unit has been nice. And of course, customers are spreading the news that we have new units.
Q: Which unit size is most popular?
A: When it comes to popular unit size, I'm going to have to say a 10x20. It is the “mid-point”, so to speak. When customers have some things they need to store or a vehicle, a 10x20 is typically the size they go for since 10x20 units are equivalent to a single car garage.
Overall, the new expansion has been getting positive feedback from our new and existing customers. We love that we're finally able to call people that have been on the waitlist for a while and give them a chance to declutter and store their things with us!
