What’s more exciting than the start of a new school year? How about kicking it off with our very first school supply drive? We’re still riding the wave of excitement after what turned out to be an incredible success, all thanks to our amazing SoCal Self Storage community! 🌟
Each of our self-storage locations teamed up with some fantastic local organizations to ensure students had the supplies they need to rock the school year. Here’s the scoop on how it all went down:
Arroyo Parkway Self Storage hit the jackpot by partnering with Friends in Deed. This Pasadena gem has been helping our neighbors in need since way back in 1894. They do everything from food pantries to back-to-school programs, and their dedication to lifting up the community is nothing short of inspiring. We were pumped to support them, knowing that our donation would help kids head back to school with everything they need to succeed.
Over at Chino Hills Self Storage and Chino Self Storage, we teamed up with the local heroes at the Department of Community Services, Parks and Recreation. These folks aren’t just about parks—they’re all about building a better community through programs that get people moving, learning, and growing. Their focus on creating positive environments for youth made them our go-to for this drive. We wanted to make sure the students in Chino were all set for a stellar school year, both in and out of the classroom.
The crew at Los Angeles Self Storage joined forces with School on Wheels, an organization that’s seriously making a difference. They provide tutoring, school supplies, and scholarships to children experiencing homelessness, ensuring they have a shot at breaking the cycle through education. We were so inspired by their mission that we couldn’t wait to help out. By donating supplies, we hope to give these students a boost as they tackle the school year head-on.
And last but definitely not least, Lakewood Self Storage teamed up with the Boys and Girls Club of Long Beach. These guys have been empowering local youth for over 80 years, offering a safe space for kids to learn, grow, and thrive after school. With programs in education, health, and leadership, they’re all about helping kids reach their full potential. We were thrilled to jump in and support their incredible work.
This school supply drive was more than just collecting notebooks and pencils—it was a reminder of how much we can accomplish when we come together as a community. The smiles, the high-fives, and the pure joy of helping students get ready for the new school year made it all worthwhile.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated, cheered us on, and made this drive such a success—we couldn’t have done it without you! Here’s to many more chances to give back, spread the love, and have a little fun while we’re at it. Until next time! 🎒✏️📚
