Giovanni’s Salon was established in 2000 by an incredible beauty technician by the name of Letty Mattern. She began her career when she was 21 years old, she was driven for success and just after 4 years she purchased her first salon in 1985 located in Los Angeles Ca. After 15 years of running her successful salon in Los Angeles, she began to feel a yearning to give back to her hometown community of Chino Hills, she wanted to share her beauty expertise with the locals so that she could make a difference in the everyday lives of those who lived and worked here in Chino Hills. So, she set out to open Giovanni’s and still to this day she continues her technical skills along with an amazing team to help bring beauty and confidence to those of our community as well as many who travel to receive the expert services by Letty and her team. I am so fortunate that Chino Hills Self Storage is just around the corner from the salon, which makes it easier to always look and feel my best.

Seven years ago, I was new to Chino Hills, and I needed a new stylist, I had no idea where to begin my search and one day, Letty walked into Chino Hills Self Storage to rent a unit. She was undergoing a new remodel in her salon. We hit it off from the start, she kindly said to me that she would like to do my hair, and she would not charge me for my first visit. At the time, I did not realize just how lucky I was, because Letty is extremely busy and always booked, but she fit me in and thus began our long-time beauty relationship.
When I say she is an expert as a hair technician, she is also an incredible teacher, her chair is always full of clients, but she never refuses to teach other new and seasoned technicians along the way. She once told me that in truth her heart’s desire is to teach others what comes natural to her. I am extremely picky with my hair color and haircuts; I have had many technicians in my lifetime, and I truly mean it when I say that I have never had anyone as good as Letty in both services, but I assure you all her technicians are very good as well. I have watched her help her team with coloring advice, I have witnessed that color choosing and or correcting is most definitely her second nature. But not just with coloring, her haircutting skills are just as formidable, it’s amazing to watch her and her highly skilled technicians work their magic. And…. The shampoo alone will make you want to return to the salon repeatedly, just wow!!!
